JCB 3CX backhoe loader simulator
The JCB 3CX backhoe loader simulator is mainly a marketing product with the purpose of being shown at construction exhibitions. The simulator cabin is a 3CX cabin replica especially set up to process the most common controls. Additionally, a projector is used to display the virtual environment.
Our simulation software runs on a standard PC with two USB joysticks. The rest of the controls are the real 3CX controls and are connected and processed using a third party middleware.
The simulator places the user in a virtual environment where his mission is to excavate as much soil as possible in a limited amount of time. Soil can only be excavated from a confined area and must be dropped in a container in order to increase the score. After the process, the user is compared to the other users in a score table and will be able to see at which level his skills actually are.
